Availability and Terms

  • Minimum rental is 4 hours; rental hours must be concurrent. Rentals must be booked at least ten business days in advance and can be reserved up to a year before the event. Reservations by phone are not accepted. A deposit of $250 for events without alcohol and $500 for events with alcohol is due within five business days of making the reservation. The balance, paperwork and proof of insurance are due two weeks prior to the event date.

  • The Pickering Barn is a charming and spacious facility conveniently located in Issaquah. Choose to have an outdoor ceremony at the gazebo in our newly renovated Courtyard or plan for an intimate ceremony in the Hay Barn. The Dairy Barn can then hold your reception with plenty of room for seating, food, dancing and catering preparation. You can do it all right here—rain or shine!

Booking Fee

  • A $100 booking fee is due at the time of booking your event. The booking fee is non-refundable or transferrable and is applied towards your total rental.

Reservation Fee

  • A non-refundable reservation fee of $750.00 is required to book a reservation in 2013 and 2014. This fee will be credited towards your total rental. Remaining fees must be paid at least 90-calendar days before the function.

Refund Policy:

  • There will be no refund of the booking or reservation fee if event is cancelled. Fifty percent of the total rental fees paid, excluding the booking and reservation fee, will be refunded if cancelled at least 90-calendar days prior to the event.
  • Reduced rates may apply to qualified Maple Valley community groups and 501(c)3 non-profit organizations. Please call the Parks & Recreation Department for additional information.

  • Rental includes the initial set-up and break down of tables and chairs by Lodge Staff and routine janitorial services. Rental times include any personal decorating and clean-up time.

Alcohol

  • The service of alcohol is allowed. You will need to purchase a $10.00 Banquet Permit from any local liquor store or agency. Renters are responsible for their guest’s actions. Underage drinking is strictly prohibited–If we suspect a problem, the Maple Valley Police will be phoned to access the situation. This could result in the immediate end to your event. No refunds are available if this occurs during your rental, forfeiture of damage deposit will result, and cleaning expenses will be billed to applicant whose signature appears on rental agreement.
